Different
national and international music competitions invite him regularly as jury
member. Since
1998, he is professor at the Music University of the Italian
Switzerland
"Conservatorio della Svizzera
Italiana"
in Lugano. Some of his students have been awarded at national and
international music competitions. Besides
his teaching activity at the Music Unversity, he has held masterclasses in
Italy, Hungary, Portugal, Spain and Switzerland, and he has worked as
principal bassoon with orchestras such as the Festival Orchester Basel,
the Mendelssohn Philharmonie Düsseldorf and the National Basque Orchestra
in San Sebastian. Chamber
music has an important role in his artistic activity. He is member of the
Swiss Nonet, the Ensemble Varié, the Trio Insolito, the Ensemble Karl
Leister and the Ensemble Ticino Musica, and he has also collaborated with
the Ensemble Villa Musica. He has played with success with musicians such
as Elisavieta Blumina, Andrea Dindo, Ferenc Bognár, Sharon Kam,
Alessandro Carbonare, Wolfhard Pencz, Larry Combs, Jean-Claude Gérard,
András Adorján, Mario Ancillotti, Radovan Vlatkovic, David Johnson,
Maurice Bourgue, Ingo Goritzki, Hans Elhorst, Karl Leister, Francois
Benda, Valery Gradow, Rainer Kussmaul, Orpheus Quartett, Verdi Quartett.
Thanks to his wide esperience in this field, he is a requested chamber
musician. As
soloist, he has played in Europe, North and South America and Asia,
accompanied by orchestras such as the Orchester des Musikkollegium
Winterthur, the Symphonic Orchestra of the Balearics, the Chamber
Orchestra Musica Bern, the Festival Strings Lucerne, the Hungarian Chamber
Orchestra and the Deutschen Kammerakademie Neuss. His fame as
extraordinary bassoon interpreter was
confirmed by successful concerts in different importan music centres such
as Zurich, Bern, Berlin, Köln, Madrid, Barcelona, New York, Budapest,
Lucerne, Beijing, Shanghai and also by tv appearences and radio
recordings. His CD published in 2002 by the label "La Bottega Discantica": Music for Bassoon and Piano – “France” was welcomed very positively by the specialists.
